Abstract

Bakalaura darba temats ir „Iedzīvotāju nodarbinātība Latvijā”. Nodarbinātība ir ne tikai Latvijas, bet arī ES augsta līmeņa prioritāte. Lai kļūtu par konkurētspējīgu ekonomiku, ir jānodrošina vienlīdzīgas iespējas saņemt darbu visiem, kas vēlās strādāt, nodrošināt vairāk un labākas darbavietas. Nodarbinātība un valsts izaugsmes pieaugums ir galvenie izvirzītie mērķi nākotnes attīstībai. Tādēļ ir aktuāli apskatīt nodarbinātības situāciju Latvijā. Darbam ir 5 nodaļas. Pirmajā nodaļā apskatīti nodarbinātības termini un nodarbinatības attīstība no 90. gadu sākuma līdz šodienai. Otrā nodaļa apskata ES galvenās nostādnes par nodarbinātības politikas attīstību. Trešā nodaļa raksturo iedzīvotāju skaitu ietekmējošos faktorus – demogrāfisko stāvokli valstī un tā izmaiņas. Ceturtajā un piektajā nodaļā ir raksturoti nodarbināto kvantitatīvais un kvalitatīvais sadalījums un struktūra Latvijā kopumā un reģionos, atspoguļojot reģionu esošās potences. Darbā analizēti galvenie faktori, kas saistīti ar reģionālo un valsts darba tirgus attīstību – nodarbinatības līmenis, ekonomiskā aktivitāte, nodarbināto struktūra un iedzīvotāju skaita izmaiņas, kā arī apkopoti statistikas dati un analizēta situācija darba tirgū Latvijā. Var secināt, ka nodarbinātībā vērojama izaugsme, tomēr būtiski ir veikt ieguldījumus tās straujākai attīstībai. Darbu var izmantot, lai iepazītos ar nodarbinātības situāciju un problēmām Latvijā un tās reģionos. Darbā lietotas ekonomiskās un statistiskās analīzes metodes. Izmantota literatūra latviešu un angļu valodā, valsts statistiskie dati, normatīvie akti, zinātniskās publikācijas, informācija no interneta portāliem un vairāku institūciju mājas lapām, kā arī sabiedriskie pētījumi un citi avoti.

The theme of the Bachelor’s Paper is “Employment of the Population in Latvia”. Employment is a high priority both in Latvia and the EU countries. In order to become a competitive economy, there should be equal opportunities for everyone, who wants to work, more and better workplaces need to be ensured. Employment and the country’s growth are the main set targets for the development in the future. Therefore, the employment situation in Latvia is a very topical issue. The Paper consists of 5 chapters. Chapter 1 features the employment terminology and the development of employment from the beginning of 1990ies to the present day. Chapter 2 deals with the main EU considerations on the development of employment policies. Chapter 3 characterises the factors, which influence the number of population in the country: the demographical situation and its changes. Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 outline the quantitative and qualitative distribution and the employment structure in Latvia, both at national and regional levels, by representing the existing potentials of the regions. The Paper analyses the main factors, which are related to the development of regional and national labour market: the employment level, economical activities, the structure of the employed and changes in the number of population, and the author has summarised the statistical data and analysed the situation in the labour market in Latvia. The author has come the conclusion that growth is evidenced in employment, however it is essential to make investments to accomplish rapid development. The Paper can be used in order to get acquainted with the situation and problems of employment in Latvia and its regions. Methods of economic and statistic analysis have been applied in the work. The author has made the use of literature in Latvian and English languages, state statistical data, legal enactments, research publications, information from internet portals and homepages of several institutions, as well as sociological research and other sources.
