Maģistra darbā ir analizēta Latvijas eksporta struktūra un eksportu ietekmējošie izmaksu un strukturālie faktori, tai skaitā rūpniecības un pakalpojumu nozaru attīstība, ārējā tirdzniecība, izglītības struktūra un ieguldījumi inovācijās, pētniecībā un attīstībā.
Maģistra darba mērķis ir izpētīt, kādi faktori ietekmē Latvijas eksporta konkurētspēju ārējos tirgos.
Analizējot teorētiskus un empīriskus pētījumus, tiek noskaidroti svarīgākie eksporta konkurētspēju ietekmējošie faktori un, izmantojot statistisko informāciju par Latviju un Eiropas Savienību laika posmā no 2000. līdz 2010.gadam, tiek novērtēta šo faktoru ietekme uz Latvijas konkurētspēju ārējos tirgos. Autore izstrādā ekonometrisko modeli eksportu ietekmējošo faktoru ietekmes novērtēšanai un priekšlikumus eksporta turpmākai veicināšanai.

The goal of the thesis is to examine the factors that influence the competitiveness of Latvian exports in external markets.
The most important factors that have effect on the competitiveness of exports are determined by exploring theoretical and empirical studies, and the impact of these factors is analyzed, using statistical data about Latvia and the European Union in the period from year 2000 to 2010. The author develops an econometric model for assessing the impact of the aforementioned factors, and proposals for further export support.
