Alus ir viens no senākajiem un populārākajiem dzērieniem pasaulē. Alus ražošanas nozarē Latvijā intensīvi attīstās. 2008. gadā Latvijas alus ražošanas nozarē darbojās 17 alus darītavas. A/S „Cēsu alus” ir visvecākā alus darītava Ziemeļeiropas reģionā un ieņem otro vietu pēc alus tirgus daļas lieluma Latvijas alus ražošanas nozarē.
Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt un izvērtēt situāciju Latvijas alus ražošanas nozarē, kā arī izanalizēt A/S „Cēsu alus” darbību alus ražošanas nozarē, atklājot pozitīvus un negatīvus aspektus uzņēmuma darbībā.
Autore izpētīja Latvijas alus ražošanas nozares attīstības tendences, alus nozari ietekmējošo likumdošanu, Latvijas alkoholisko dzērienu patēriņu struktūru, alus lietotāju izvēli u.c. ar nozari saistītus jautājumus.
A/S „Cēsu alus” darbības analīzē autore izveidoja A/S „Cēsu alus” produkcijas dzīves ciklu, atklāja uzņēmuma stiprās un vājās puses, kā arī šķēršļus un iespējas alus nozarē. Autore izpētīja A/S„Cēsu alus” uzņēmuma galveno konkurentu spēku un pievilcību, salīdzināja „Cēsu alus” un konkurentu alus produkcijas sortimentu un cenas dažos Latvijas populārākajos lielveikalos, aprēķināja vidējo alus mazumtirdzniecības cenu 2009. gadā, izpētīja galveno konkurentu nākotnes plānus, kā arī izstrādāja priekšlikumus A/S „Cēsu alus” uzņēmējdarbības uzlabošanai. Beer is one of the oldest and most popular beverages in the world. The beer-manufacturing sector in Latvia is under intensive development. In 2008 there were 17 breweries operating in the Latvian beer sector. A/S ‘Cēsu alus’ is the oldest brewery in Northern Europe region and it takes the second place in beer market share in the Latvian beer-manufacturing sector.
The aim of the bachelor paper is to research the Latvian beer-manufacturing sector, to assess the future operations of A/S ‘Cēsu alus’ in the beer-manufacturing sector, to discover positive and negative aspects in the company’s operations.
The author has researched development trends in the Latvian beer-manufacturing sector, legislation that regulates the beer industry, the consumption structure of alcoholic beverages in Latvia, the choice of beer consumers and other sector-related issues. In the operation analysis of A/S ‘Cēsu alus’ the author established the life cycle of A/S ‘Cēsu alus’ products, revealed the strengths and weaknesses of the company as well as threats and opportunities in the beer sector. The author researched the power and attractiveness of A/S ‘Cēsu alus’ main competitors, compared the beer product range of ‘Cēsu alus’ and its competitors and prices in some of the most popular Latvian supermarkets, calculated the average beer retail price in 2009, researched the future plans of main competitors as well as prepared recommendations for improving A/S ‘Cēsu alus’ entrepreneurship.
