| dc.description.abstract | Medicīniskais tūrisms ir pēdējā laikā strauji augoša nozare, bet Rīgā šis tūrisma veids ir salīdzinoši jauns tādēļ ir lielas izaugsmes iespējas un perspektīvas to attīstīt.
Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot medicīnas tūrismā iesaistīto pušu viedokli par medicīnas tūrismu un tā tirgus potenciālu Rīgā un izveidot priekšlikumus medicīnas tūrisma veiksmīgai attīstībai.
Darbā iegūtie rezultāti atspoguļo šobrīd esošo situāciju un pastāvošās problēmas Rīgā medicīnas tūrismā. Ir iespējams saņemt augstas kvalitātes pakalpojumu par zemāku cenu kā citviet, bet negatīvs Rīgas tēls, kas kavē tūrisma attīstību.
Darbā ir 155 lapas, 4 galvenās nodaļas, 14 apakšnodaļas, 17 attēli un 5 tabulas.

| dc.description.abstract | Medical tourism is one of the most rapidly growing industries right now but in Riga this type of tourism is relatively new so it has great development opportunities and prospects to develop.
Aim of research is to clarify the medical tourism stakeholders’ views and market potential in Riga and create proposals for successful development.
The paper reflects the results of the existing situation and existing problems of medical tourism in Riga. It is possible to get high quality service at a lower price than elsewhere, while a negative image of Riga hinders development of medical tourism.
Paper consists of 155 pages, 4 main chapters, 14 subchapters, 17 pictures and 5 tables.
