| dc.description.abstract | Maģistra darba izpildes rezultātā tika apskatīta Festival Speech Synthesis Systems salīdzināta ar alternatīvām programmām kā, arī apskatīta programmatūras funkcionalitāte. Ar Festival sistēmas palīdzību tika izveidots latviešu valodas runas sintezators un veikta tā testēšana.
Lai projektu izpildītu bija nepieciešams iedziļināties runas sintēzes ģenerācijas noteikumos, kā arī tika apskatīts latviešu valodas pamatlikumi.
Visa izstrāde notika Linux operētājsistēmā, Festival sistēmā un sheme valoda

| dc.description.abstract | This dissertation presents an analysis of Festival Speech Synthesis Systems and provides a comparison of this system to various alternatives. In addition, an in-depth study of system's functionality is described. A speech synthesis system for Latvian language has been developed and tested, based on Festival system.
This work required an extensive investigation of the rules of speech synthesis generation systems and the structure of Latvian language.
The project development is in Linux operating system and scheme language (SIOD - Scheme In One Defun)
