Zaļo jumtu izveides iespējas un ierobežojumi Rīgā

Abstract

Zaļie jumti pasaulē ir strauji augoša pilsētas vides sastāvdaļa. Tos dēvē arī par dzīvajiem jumtiem, kurus var uzskatīt par dzīvo arhitektūru, kas atdzīvina pelēkos pilsētu mūrus. Zaļie jumti var papildināt neapgūtās pilsētas vides teritorijas, lietderīgi un funkcionāli izmantojot jumtu platību un palielinot to funkcionalitāti. Informācijas daudzums par zaļajiem jumtiem Rīgā un Latvijā ir ierobežots. Bakalaura darbs sniedz informāciju par zaļo jumtu attīstības iespējām un ierobežojumiem Rīgā. Izvirzītā mērķa īstenošanai, tika apkopota un analizēta literatūra, apskatītas zaļo jumtu priekšrocības un trūkumi to attīstībai, segumu veidi un to pozitīvās, negatīvās īpašības. Darba pētījuma daļā tiek uzzināti un apkopoti speciālistu, arhitektu, inženieru viedokļi par jumtu izveides iespējām. Apzināti praktizējošie zaļo jumtu ierīkošanas uzņēmumi, apkopotas iespējamās jumtu izmaksas. Veiktā iedzīvotāju aptauja un apkopotie rezultāti par viņu zināšanām zaļo jumtu jomā liecina, ka lielākā daļa respondentu nav informēti par zaļo jumtu iespējām.

The importance of green roofs as an ingredient of urban environments in the world is swiftly rising. Also refered to as ‘living roofs’, they can be considered as ‘living architecture’ which brings the grim city walls to life. Green roofs can help fill out the greenery-free territories of an urban environment by using the roof space and increasing their functionality. The amount of information about green roofs in Riga and Latvia is limited. This Bachelor’s thesis provides information about the possibilities and restraints of green roofs in Riga. Literature was collected, summarized and analyzed, the advantages and disadvantages of green roof development as well as the positive and negative aspects of roof covers were analyzed to achieve the goal of the thesis. In the research part, the opinions of specialists, architects and engineers about development possibilities for green roofs are collected and summarized. Also, information about local green roof installation companies is gathered as well as a summary of possible roof prices. The data collected from the survey that was carried out about society’s knowledge of green roofs shows that most of the respondents have no knowledge of the benefits provided by green roofs.
