Aukstā kara pēctecības Kurzemes piekrastes ainavā

Abstract

Maģistra darbā „Aukstā kara pēctecības Kurzemes piekrastes ainavā” veikts pētījums par Kurzemes piekrastes ainavu, kurā ir projicējušās Aukstā kara laika ģeopolitiskās aktivitātes. Tēmas pamatā ir ainavas vēsturiskais pārveides process – Aukstā kara pēctecība tajā. Pētījumā tiek apskatīta Kurzemes piekrastes ainava, kas savā ziņā ir unikāls vēsturisks mantojums – tajā vēl joprojām kā Aukstā kara laika relikti ir saglabājušies daudzi militārie objekti. Lai gan šodien šie militārie objekti ir lielākoties nevienam nevajadzīgi un pamesti novārtā, laika zoba sagraušanai, tomēr tie joprojām atgādina par nesen piedzīvoto pagātni. Pētījuma galvenie jautājumi ir saistīti ar Aukstā kara laika procesu ietekmēm un pārmaiņām ainavā, kā arī vērsta uzmanība uz šo ainavu vērtību un nozīmi šodienas skatījumā.

Master thesis „Cold War Landscape inheritances: case studies at Kurzeme coast” is a study of the coastal landscape of Kurzeme, where Cold War geopolitical activities are projected. Theme is based on a historic landscape transformation process – Cold War inheritances in landscape. Study examines costal landscape of Kurzeme, which is a unique historical heritage – full with relicts (military facilities) of the Cold War. Although today these military facilities are no longer relevant and the most of them are abondoned, they still represent experiences of the recent past. Main issues of the study are related with influences of the Cold War processes and landscape changes. It’s also focuses on the landscape values and importance of them in today’s view.
