Vides tekstu tulkošana latviešu valodā

Abstract

Mūsdienās, cilvēku saimnieciskās darbības rezultātā, dabas resursi tiek ļoti plaši izmantoti. Šie procesi savukārt pasaulē veicina interesi par dažādām pieaugošām vides problēmām. Rūpējoties par apkārtējo vidi ES un tulkojot tekstus par dabas aizsardzību, vides terminoloģija Latvijā var piedzīvot brīdi, kad tā neatbilst vai netiek līdzi mūsdienu ES noteiktajām vides prasībām. Pētnieciskajā darbā tiek aplūkota ar vides aizsardzību saistītā terminoloģija, tās attīstība, galvenie terminu darināšanas principi un tulkošanas problēmas. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt situāciju ar vides aizsardzību saistītas terminoloģijas jomā Latvijā. Lai sasniegtu izvirzīto mērķi, darba autore ir izpētījusi vides aizsardzības terminoloģijas raksturīgākās iezīmes, pieejamās vides terminoloģijas vārdnīcas un avotus latviešu valodā un izveidojusi pārskatu. Darba autore ir veikusi topošo vides speciālistu aptauju un izanalizējusi iegūtos rezultātus.

Due to increasing human economic activities, environmental issues have been experiencing a significant growth of interest all over the world in general. With growing environmental concerns in the EU, the translation of environmental protection (EP) texts may lack well-coined and approved terminology. The present research focuses on EP terminology, its development, basic methods of term formation and problems the translator may face in the process of EP text translation. The aim of the present research is to explore the situation in the field of EP terminology in Latvia. For this purpose, the author has investigated the typical features of EP terminology, explored EP terminology work in Latvia and made a review of available EP dictionaries and data bases in Latvian. The author also prepared a questionnaire and analyzed the results. Finally, the author gathered the information on European EP policy and analyzed her translations of several EP texts of different types.
