ASV un Eiropas Savienības nesaskaņas starptautiskās brīvās tirdzniecības ietvaros

Abstract

Darbā tiek aplūkotas tirdzniecības nesaskaņas starp ASV un Eiropas Savienību. Visas tās populārākās nesaskaņas, kas ir nonākušas līdz Pasaules Tirdzniecības organizācijai un nodotas izskatīšanai. Darba mērķis bija izpētīt faktorus, kas rada nesaskaņas starp ASV un ES. Līdz ar to darbā tiek analizēta ASV un ES rīcība dažādos tirdzniecības jautājumos. Tas kādas ir šīs nesaskaņas, cik tās ir nopietnas, kā tiek atrisinātas un pats galvenais kādi ir faktori, kuru rezultātā šīs nesaskaņas ir radušās? Darbā izvirzu sekojošu darba izpētes jautājumu: Vai ASV un ES nesaskaņas pasaules brīvās tirdzniecības ietvaros ietekmē ASV lielvaras statuss? Mana darba hipotēze ir tāda, ka ASV un ES nesaskaņu starptautiskās tirdzniecības ietvaros pamatā ir ASV hegemonija. Darba nobeigumā var secināt, ka ASV un ES ir nozīmīgākie tirdzniecības partneri viens otram un to kopējais tirgus veido pusi no pasaules tirgus un neapšaubāmi starp abām pusēm rodas sava veida tirdzniecības nesaskaņas. Proti, skatoties uz visu ASV un ES kopējo tirgu šīs nesaskaņas aizņem niecīgu daļu no kopējā tirgus. Tāpat ir redzama tendence, ka gandrīz ar katru gadu nesaskaņu skaits starp ASV un ES kļūst lielāks un nesaskaņu atrisināšana kļūst smagāka un laikietilpīgāka. Tajā pat laikā var teikt, ka nesaskaņas starp ASV un ES diez ko neietekmē ASV un ES divpusējās attiecības un ASV un ES viennozīmīgi ir un paliks nozīmīgākie tirdzniecības partneri viens otram.

In the Paper I examined the disputes between USA and European Union. All disputes which has reached the World Trade organization and which are needed to be settled down. The purpose of the thesis is to find out the factors which cause those disputes between USA and European Union. So in the paper I am analyzing the behavior of USA and European Union in different trading issues. What kind of disputes are they, how serious are they, how they are settled down and the most important what are the factors which cause those disputes? In the Paper I am putting forward following research question: Is USA’s and European Union’s disputes within the international trade agreement affected by USA’s status of superpower? The hypothesis of the paper is that in the basis of USA’s and European Union’s disputes within the international trade agreement is US hegemony. At the end I can come to a conclusion that USA and European Union are the most important trading partners to each other and their total amount of trade is half of worlds so it is obvious that between those sides appears trading disputes. If we look at the total amount of US and European Union’s trade than we can see that those disputes affect small part of total trade. Also we can see tendency that each year the amount of disputes grows and the dispute settlement is harder and more time-consuming. At the same time I can say that disputes between USA and EU mostly don’t affect US and EUs bilateral relationships and USA and European Union is and will remain the most important trading partner for each other.
