Teoriju izmantošana Latvijas Universitātes Sociālo zinātņu fakultātes Informācijas un bibliotēku studiju nodaļas maģistru darbos

Abstract

Maģistra darba pētījumā ir meklēta atbilde uz jautājumu, kāda ir situācija teoriju izmantošanā Informācijas un bibliotēku studiju nodaļas maģistru darbos, uzmanību vēršot uz konkrētu metateoriju, vidējā līmeņa teoriju un teorētisko modeļu izmantošanu saistībā ar pētījumu tematiem. Pētījuma galvenais mērķis: noskaidrot, kādas ir teoriju izmantošanas tendences starp dažādu gadu maģistru darbiem, kā arī kādi ir aktuālākie pētījumu temati un tematiskie virzieni. Iegūtie rezultāti parāda, ka 2008. un 2011. gada maģistru darbos biežāk nekā 2002. un 2005. gada maģistru darbos ir izmantotas metateorijas, vidējā līmeņa teorijas un teorētiskie modeļi. Maģistru darbi visbiežāk ir saistīti ar bibliotēkzinātnes tematisko virzienu.

In the research of the master’s thesis the answer is sought to the question of what is the situation of theory use in the master’s theses of Information and Library Studies Division Master programme students, focusing on the use of specific meta-theories, middle-level theories and theoretical models in regard to the study subjects. The main aim of the research is to establish what the trends of theory use among the master’s theses of different years are, as well as what the most current research topics and thematic directions are. The acquired results indicate that in the master’s theses of the years 2008 and 2011 meta-theories, middle-level theories and theoretical models have been used more often than in the master’s theses of the years 2002 and 2005. Master’s theses are mostly related to the thematic direction of library science.
