Latvijas pludmales volejbola reprezentācija Latvijas interneta ziņu medijos: atšķirības ziņu rakstos par sieviešu un vīriešu sportistu pāriem portālos "Tvnet", "Apollo", "Delfi" (2011. gada maijs – 2011. gada augusts)

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā apskatīta Latvijas pludmales volejbola reprezentācija Latvijas interneta ziņu medijos un atšķirības rakstos par sieviešu un vīriešu sportistu pāriem portālos „Tvnet”, „Apollo”, „Delfi” laika posmā no 2011.gada maijam līdz 2011.gada augustam. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt, kā medijos tiek reprezentēts sieviešu un vīriešu pludmales volejbols un konstatēt, vai un kādi atšķirīgi vēstījumi ir apslēpti noteiktajos ziņu portālu rakstos. Pētījuma problēmu nosaka atšķirīgo reprezentāciju pastāvēšana interneta ziņu portālos par sieviešu un vīriešu pludmales pāriem. Darba teorētiskajā daļā tiek aplūkots sociālās realitātes konstruēšanas un reprezentācijas jēdziens un mediju loma tajā, dzimtes studijas un sievietes loma sportā, kā arī sporta reprezentācija medijos un interneta mediju specifika. Darba empīriskā daļa veikta, izmantojot kontentanalīzi un diskursa analīzi. Pētījuma rezultāti atklāj, ka sieviešu pludmales volejbols notikumi tiek attēloti retāk un kā mazāk svarīgi. Darbs sastāv no trijām daļām: teorētiskās, metodoloģiskās un empīriskās, kurām seko pielikums ar kontentanalīzes tabulu, rezultātu tabulu un pilnu izmantoto publikāciju sarakstu. The Bachelor’s paper discuses representation of Latvian beach volleyball in Internet news media and the differences between articles about women’s and men’s duets in portals „Tvnet”, „Apollo”, „Delfi” in May 2011 – August 2011. The aim of Bachelor thesis is to study if and what are the hidden messages in particular articles and how women’s and men’s sports is represented in media. The subject matter of the study is defined by the various representations of female and male beach volleyball duets in Internet news media. The theoretical part of the paper describes the concept of construction of social reality, representation and role of media, gender studies and women in sports, as well as sports representation in media and specific features of Internet media. The empirical part is done by using content analysis and discourse analysis. The results of the study shows that developments in women’s beach volleyball are represented more rarely and as a minor sports. The paper consists of three parts: theoretical, methodological and empirical, followed by appendix with table of content analysis, table of results and complete list of publications used in research.
