Publikācijas Latvijas Republikas nacionālajā presē par Eiropas Savienības dalībvalstu parlamentu, prezidentu vēlēšanu un referendumu kampaņām (2004-2005)

Kopsavilkums: Maģistra darba „Publikācijas LR nacionālajā presē par Eiropas Savienības dalībvalstu parlamentu, prezidentu vēlēšanu un referendumu kampaņām (2004 – 2005)” mērķis bija izpētīt starptautisko ziņu dienas kārtības freimus ES dalībvalstīs notikušo parlamentu, prezidentu vēlēšanu un referendumu laikā LR nacionālajos laikrakstos, noskaidrojot kuri prezidentu, parlamentu vēlēšanu un referendumu aspekti un jautājumi tiek izklāstīti. Pirmkārt, var secināt, ka ārvalstu ziņu slejās par Eiropas Savienības dalībvalstu parlamentu, prezidentu vēlēšanu un referendumu kampaņām lielākoties tika rakstīts par jautājumiem, kas ir saistīti ar politiskās komunikācijas efektiem. Otrkārt, publikācijās LR nacionālajā presē, rakstot par ES dalībvalstu parlamentu, prezidentu vēlēšanu un referendumu kampaņām, lielākoties informācijas avots tiek izmantoti konkrētās valsts valdības pārstāvji vai amatpersonas. Treškārt, publikācijās LR nacionālajā presē par Eiropas Savienības dalībvalstu parlamentu, prezidentu vēlēšanu un referendumu kampaņām bija vērojams izteikts publikāciju skaita pieaugums, tuvojoties vēlēšanu dienai. Turklāt vairāk tika raktīts par iespējamajiem vēlēšanu rezultātiem, vietu sadalījumu parlamentā, kā arī vispārējo vēlēšanu vai tautas nobalsošanas gaitu. Ceturtkārt, tika atklāts, ka starptautisko ziņu dienas kārtībā dominēja konfliktu freims, cilvēciskās ieinteresētības (notikuma dramatizācija), uzvaras skrējiena un konstitucionālo krīžu freimi. Pētījuma gaitā tika apstiprinātas abas izvirzītās hipotēzes.

The main goal of master thesis “Publications on parliament, president election and referendum campaigns in EU member states in national newspapers of the Republic of Latvia (2004 – 2005)” was to explore the main frames of the global news flow on the parliament, president election and referendum campaigns in EU member states in the national newspapers of the Republic of Latvia in 2004 to 2005. Moreover, the master thesis seeks opportunities to explore the main aspects and issues important in the representation of the global news in the national press of the Republic of Latvia. Several conclusions were driven based on the performed research. First, national newspapers of Republic of Latvia were more interested to write about issues connected to effects of political communication. Second, as the main resources of the information most frequently representatives of parliament and government were used. Third, an increase of the amount of publications was observable when the election or referend date approached. Moreover, the main topics discussed were related to possible outcomes, distribution of seating in the parliament as well as the election and referendum process. Forth, it was concluded that conflict, human interest (dramatization of the event) and horse race frames were dominating the agenda of foreign news on parliament, president election campaigns in European Union member states in the national press of the Republic of Latvia. The results showed support both for the first and the second statements.
