"Gaismas pils" projekta attīstība un nozīme, 1988 - 2010

Abstract

Bakalaura darba pētījuma temats ir Latvijas Nacionālās bibliotēkas projekta Gaismas pils loma sabiedrībā, projekta virzības atspoguļojums presē. Bakalaura darbā tika pētīta tieši vēsturiskā Gaismas pils projekta attīstība, kas līdz šim vēl nav darīts. Pētnieciskā darba mērķis ir apkopot informāciju par Gaismas pils projekta attīstību divdesmit trīs gadu ilgā laika posmā, par projektu veicinošiem un kavējošiem faktoriem, par valsts līdzdalību projekta realizēšanā. Pētījumā ir izmantotas informācijas vākšanas un apstrādes metodes, kas ietver teorētiskās literatūras studijas, līdzšinējo pētījumu analīzi, laikrakstu publikāciju kontentanalīzi; dažādu Latvijas iedzīvotāju grupu anketēšanu, lai noskaidrotu viņu viedokli par Gaismas pils projektu. Moderna bibliotēka veicina apmeklētāju skaita pieaugumu un interesi par bibliotēkas krājumu un piedāvātajiem pakalpojumiem. Gandrīz visām attīstītajām valstīm ir nacionālā bibliotēka, kas atrodas vienā ēkā, ir funkcionāla un pieejama ikvienam. Jaunā Latvijas Nacionālās bibliotēkas ēka paredzēta kā tehnoloģiskais un informatīvais centrs visām pārējām Latvijas bibliotēkām.

The bachelor’s paper research topic is Latvia National library project Gaismas pils (Castle of Light) development and its role in the society, the reflection of the project progress in the press. The bachelor’s paper investigates particularly the historical development of the Gaismas pils project that has not been done before. The aim of the research paper is to summarise the information on the Gaismas pils project development in the time period of twenty three years, on the factors promoting and preventing the project, on the state participation in the implementation of the project. The research paper uses the methods of information gathering and processing including the theoretical literature studies, and the analyses of the former researches. The publications in newspapers have been analysed using the content analyses. Different groups of people in Latvia have been mediatized to find out their opinion about Gaismas pils project. A modern library promotes the increase of the number of visitors and interest in the library collection and offered services. Almost all highly developed countries have their own national libraries situated in one building, functional and accessible to everyone. The new Latvia National library is going to be the technological and informative centre to all the other libraries in Latvia.
