ES loma klimata pārmaiņu jautājumu risināšanā

Abstract

Bakalaura darba “ES loma klimata pārmaiņu jautājumu risināšanā” problēmjautājums ir- kāda ir ES loma globālo klimata pārmaiņu jautājumu risināšanā. ES sevi pozicionē klimata jautājumos kā starptautisku līderu, tāpēc darba mērķis ir iepazīties ar ES klimata pārmaiņu politiku un noskaidrot, kāda ir bijusi ES rīcība cīņā pret klimata pārmaiņām un vai tā atbilst starptautiskā līdera pozīcijai. Tiek izvirzīta hipotēze- Eiropas Savienība ir klimata politikas līderis, jo sekmīgi veikusi iekšējus un ārējus pasākumus klimata pārmaiņu ierobežošanai-, kas darba gaitā tiek apgāzta. Darba teorētiskajā daļā tiek apskatītas teorijas par varu un ietekmi starptautiskajā politikā un starptautiskās līderības teorijas. Darba empīriskajā daļā tiek pētīts, kā ES ir veidojusi klimata pārmaiņu politiku, samazinājusi emisijas, palīdzējusi attīstības valstīm adaptēties klimata pārmaiņā un kā ES ir pārstāvējusi savas intereses starptautiskās klimata sarunās.

The main question in the bachelor thesis “EU's role in solving the climate change problem” ir- what kind of role does EU play in solving the climate change problem. EU considers itself to be a leader in climate politics and for this reason the goal of the thesis is to look at EU's climate change policy and find out whether EU really leads the global fight against climate change. The hypothesis- EU is a climate policy leader, for it has successfully taken internal and external measures to fight against climate change-is proven wrong. The theoretical part of the thesis looks at different power and international leadership theories, while the empirical part analyses the development of EU's climate policy, emission reductions, outreach to developing contries and how EU has represented itself in international climate negotiations.
