Monogrāfiju satura rādītāju atklāšana un izguve elektroniskajā katalogā

Abstract

Bibliotēku elektroniskajos katalogos netiek pilnvērtīgi atspoguļots monogrāfiju bibliogrāfiskais ieraksts, kas apgrūtina lietotājiem veikt mērķtiecīgāku dokumentu atlasi, identificēšanu un izguvi. Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot monogrāfiju satura rādītāju praktisko nepieciešamību bibliotēku elektronisko katalogu ierakstos. Pētījuma rezultāti atklāj grāmatu satura rādītāju atspoguļošanas nozīmību un nepieciešamību bibliogrāfiskajos ierakstos, kas veicina pilnīgāku un konkrētāku pieejamību bibliotēku krājumos esošajai informācijai un tajās ietvertajām zināšanām. Grāmatu satura rādītājs elektroniskā formātā dod lietotājiem iespēju ekonomēt laiku un piekļūt sev interesējošai informācijai attālināti, kas kā mūsdienīgs bibliotekārais pakalpojums ir ērti un praktiski pielietojams.

Bibliographic records of monographs are not comprehensively reflected in the electronic catalogues of libraries, which prevents users from the performance of more focused selection, identification and retrieval of documents. The aim of the research is to investigate the practical necessity of table of contents of monographs in the bibliographic records of library electronic catalogues. The results of the investigation reveal the significance and necessity of reflecting the table of contents in bibliographic records, which promotes more complete and more specific access of information and knowledge stored in library holdings. The table of contents in electronic format gives users the possibility to save their time and remotely access information they are interested in, which as a modern library service is convenient and practical.
