Latvijas reģionālo laikrakstu daudzveidība un to struktūras atšķirības

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma - Latvijas reģionālo laikrakstu daudzveidība un to struktūras atšķirības (2007. gada februāris). Darbā pētīti 18 Latvijas reģionālie laikraksti, lai noskaidrotu un izpētītu to nozīmi sabiedrības informēšanā un to, cik būtiski tie atšķiras pēc ziņu daudzuma, struktūras un satura. Kontentanalīzei atlasītie laikraksti reprezentē dažādus Latvijas novadus, dažādus īpašnieka tipus un kvalitāti nodrošinošus apstākļus. Tika analizēts 2007. gadā februāra mēnesī izdoto laikraksta numuru saturs. Analīzē izmantotas Nellijas Ločmeles izstrādātās kontentanalīzes kategorijas, kas papildinātas un pārveidotas. Tika salīdzināts lokāla, nacionāla mēroga un ārzemju ziņu īpatsvars, kā arī tematiskais un žanriskais sadalījums. Darba gaitā atklājās, ka reģionālajos laikrakstos blakus lokālajām ziņām ir arī salīdzinoši daudz nacionālo ziņu, kas arī bija viens no darba mērķiem. Analīze arī pierādīja, ka laikrakstiem ir gan atšķirīgas, gan arī kopīgas iezīmes, kas ne vienmēr atkarīgas no laikraksta īpašnieka. Starp atlasītajiem laikrakstiem bija arī krievu valodā izdotie, un viens no darba uzdevumiem bija saskatīt atšķirības starp tiem un latviešu valodā izdotajiem, taču tas pierādījās tikai daļēji.

The subject of this bachelor paper is The Diversity of Latvian Regional Newspapers and Their Structural Differences (February 2007). 10 Latvian regional newspapers were studied in order to ascertain and research their role in informing the society and their disparities regarding the amount of news, the structure and the contents. The newspapers selected for the content analysis represent different regions of Latvia, different types of publishers and quality providing conditions. The contents of the newspapers issued in February 2007 were analyzed, using complemented and modified categories of content analysis elaborated by Nellija Ločmele. The proportion of local, national and foreign news was compared as well as the thematic and genre division. The research showed that there is a comparatively great deal of national news along with local news in the regional newspapers, and that was one of the aims of the research. Furthermore, the analysis proved that the newspapers have both common and different features that not always depend on the publisher. There were also Russian newspapers among the selected, and one of the aims of the study was to discern the differences between the newspapers issued in Latvian and Russian, but it proved only partly.
