Komentāri par Sadāma Huseina nāves soda izpildi Delfi portālos un to ētiskais aspekts

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs „Komentāri par Sadama Huseina nāves soda izpildi DELFI portālos un to ētiskais aspekts” ir rakstīts ar mērķi aplūkot diskusijas par Sadama Huseina nāves sodu, lai analizētu komentētāju viedokļus un attieksmes pret šo tēmu, ka arī pētīt attieksmes atšķirību komentāros krievu un latviešu auditorijās. Darbā ir aplūkotas teorijas par nāves sodu – ētiskais, juridiskais aspekts, nāves soda vēsture, tās attīstība un dilemmas par augstākā soda mēra pieļaujamību un eksistēšanu. Teorētiskais balsts ir franču filozofa Mišela Fuko grāmata „Uzraudzīt un sodīt”. Darbā ir aplūkotas islāma kultūras īpatnības, Irākas valsts, Sadama Huseina personība, ka arī interneta un interneta pgrtālu daba. Darbs ir strukturēts daļās – teorētiskā daļa, metodoloģija un praktiskā daļa ar iegūtiem rezultātiem un to analīzi. Bakalaura darbā tiek izmantotas divas pētnieciskās metodes: kvalitatīvā un kvantitatīvā kontentanalīzes.

The bachelor paper thesis "Ethical aspects in comments on Saddam Hussein's death penalty execution as posted on the DELFI web portals" aims at taking a close look at the host of discussions initiated upon the execution of Saddam Hussein, including analysis of the authors' views on the given subject. In addition, the thesis tries to investigate the difference in opinions expressed by the Russian speaking and Latvian speaking audiences respectively. The thesis deals with the theories of death penalty scrutinizing the ethical and legal aspects behind it, the origin, as well as the evolution and the dilemmas arising in its connection, including its acceptance and viability. The theoretical part of the thesis relies on the work of Michel Foucault, the French philosopher, "Discipline and Punish". The thesis also touches upon the peculiarities of the Islamic culture, Iraq state, the personality of Saddam Hussein, as well as the nature of the Internet and web portals. The thesis is structured as follows: theoretical part, methodological part, and the practical part with the results yielded and their analysis. Two research methods have been used in the bachelor thesis: qualitative and quantitative content analysis.
