A case when two or more participants can influence each other by decision making is called a game. Situations like these can be found in many fields of interest, and game theory is used to represent and analyze them.
As complexity of the game grows, the necessity to use computer for finding solution becomes clearer. The combination of game theory and computer science is called algorithmic game theory.
The paper introduces basic field concepts and problems of game theory, introducing game categorization and describing principles used in this ordering. Large part of the work describes known game solutions, mostly focusing on Nash equilibrium.
The paper discusses complexity of finding Nash equilibrium, as well as focusing on the most popular solution concepts for two player games.
Keywords: Algorithmic game theory, game modeling, Nash equilibrium, Simplex algorithm, Lemke-Howson algorithm, PPAD.
