The aim of the paper is to evaluate investment environment mainly in Latvia, Sweden and Greece, to compare the investment environment of the countries and to draw up proposals for its improvement.
The tasks of the research: to evaluate the investment environment in Latvia, Sweden and Greece separately on the basis of the factors of the Global Competitiveness Index which help to evaluate the attractiveness of the investment environment; to compare the investment environment of the three countries; and to draw up the proposals for the improvement of the investment environment in the previously mentioned countries, mainly in Latvia.
The result of the research implies that there is a sharp difference between the development of the investment environment in each country.
