Atslēgas vārdi: diferenciālā GPS uzmērīšana, LiDAR, orientēšanās karšu pamatkarte, dešifrēšana The objective of the bachelor work is to ascertain and practically test the use and significance of remote sensing and GPS applications and resulted materials and data, as well as other cartographic material in orienteering map making and to make an instructional orienteering map at Lodesmuiža surrounding. Main considered questions deal with
exploration and practical use of methods and new technologies used in orienteering map making, with main emphasis on the interpretation of the remote sensing materials and GPS measurements. As a result it concludes that materials of remote sensing and GPS measurements are used only in preparation of base map, and field work or ground survey have the greatest impact on orienteering map making. Also an orienteering map at surrounding of Lodesmuiža was made, and the main methods of orienteering map making were summarized as well as arguments against the possibility of automated orienteering map making.
