Straumju ripsnojums Rīgas līča austrumu piekrastes upēs

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā ir veikti straumju ripsnojuma pētījumi Rīgas līča austrumu piekrastes upēs un strautos – Inčupe, Kurliņupe, Lielurga, Reisugrāvis un Svētupe. Darbā raksturota ripsnojuma izmēru atkarība no straumes ātruma, ūdens dziļuma, kā arī no materiāla, kas ripsnojumu veido. Veikta dažādu ripsnojumu tipu izdalīšana, aprakstot katra ripsnojuma tipa veidošanos ietekmējošos faktorus. Secināts, ka lielākā straumes ātrumā ripsnojuma grēdas kļūst garākas (ripsnojums no taisna kļūst izolēts), un ka lielāki nogulu graudu izmēri sekmē lielāka (augstāka) ripsnojuma veidošanos.

Bachelor’s thesis focuses on studies of current ripples carried out in streams nearshore the Riga gulf eastern coast - Inčupe, Kurliņupe, Lielurga, Reisugrāvis and Svētupe. During the study ripple size dependence on current velocity, water depth and sediment grain size have been documented. In this study several ripple types were divided and the factors influencing their formation were described. It was concluded that higher current velocity leads to larger ripple lenghts (ripples becomes more isolated) and that coarser sediments lead to higher (larger) ripples.
