Jonišķu svītas nogulumi Imulas un Īslīces ielejā un to veidošanās apstākļi

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā apskatīta Famenas stāva Jonišķu svītas nogulumu izplatība, sastāvs un fosīliju kompleksi Latvijā. Pētījuma mērķis ir raksturot Jonišķu svītas nogulumus Imulas upes krastos un precizēt to veidošanas apstākļus, kā arī salīdzināt Jonišķu svītas iežus ar nogulumiem no atseguma Zemgalē, noskaidrot šo nogulumu vecumu un veidošanās apstākļus. Sastādīti trīs ģeoloģiskie griezumi, veikti lauka pētījumi, pagatavoti plānslīpējumi, veikta iegūto paraugu mikropaleontoloģiskā analīze, noteikts klastiskā materiāla daudzums un veikta tā granulometriskā analīze. Detalizēti raksturoti Jonišķu svītas nogulumi divos atsegumos gar Imulu, kā arī pierādīts, ka Jonišķu svītas nogulumi Zemgalē Īslīces krastos pašlaik neatsedzas. The Bachelor Thesis examines the distribution, composition and fossil assemblages of the Upper Devonian Famennian Joniškis Formation deposits in Latvia. The purpose of this research is to characterise the deposits of the Joniškis Formation cropping out along the Imula river banks and more accurately define their sedimentary environment, as well as compare these rocks with deposits from outcrop in Zemgale; elucidate the age of these deposits and their sedimentary environment. Three outcrops were documented, materials gathered during field work; thin section analysis and micropaleontological analysis has been used; the amount of clastic material has been quantifield and grain-size analysis has been done. Detailed description of the deposits of the Jonišķis Formation and their development conditions, it also proves, that Jonišķis Formation’s sediments do not currently uncover at the river banks of Īslīce in Zemgale.
