Ineses Lapiņas bakalaura darbam „Saslimstību ietekmējošie faktori ar gripas A (H1N1) vīrusu” Rīga, 2010. gads – 55 lpp.
The Bachelors thesis of Inese Lapina. Riga, 2010, 55 pages. Topic: “Factors having an import on morbidity of virus A (H1N1)’’.
This thesis deals with the assessment of knowledge of a general population of Latvia about the spread of H1N1.
The preliminary hypothesis is that the population is not sufficiently informed about the causes and ways of the spread of H1N1.
The statistic method is used by the means of a questionnaire to test the hypothesis.
The sample questionnaires come from all regions of Latvia.
In order to support and analyze the data the selected scientific literature is used, Latvian as well as International; also data from various Latvian periodicals related to the above mentioned H1N1 topic, as well as unpublished data and World Wide Web-resources.
The thesis has 6 pictures, 22 graphic charts, 35 quoted sources and 2 appendixes.
The main conclusion of this thesis shows that the knowledge about the origin, spread and prevention of H1N1 Flu in Latvia is not correlated with particular age, education and location of the respondents. Their knowledge is not sufficient.
Keywords: knowledge, morbidity, prevention.
