Nejaušības nozīme informācijas ieguvē

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs „Nejaušības nozīme informācijas ieguvē” izstrādāts ar mērķi noskaidrot, cik liela nozīme informācijas pārvaldību studējošo jauniešu vidū ir nejaušībai informācijas ieguvē un kāda daļa no iegūtās un izmantotās informācijas tiek atrasta nejauši. Pētījuma datu ieguvei izmantota anketēšanas un dienasgrāmatas metode, ar kuru palīdzību gūts priekšstats par studentu informācijas meklēšanas un izmantošanas paradumiem, informācijas uzvedību, kā arī noskaidrotas studējošo domas un viedokļi par nejaušībām. Datu analīzes rezultātā atklājas, ka, kaut arī aptaujāto studentu dzīvēs nejaušībai ir liela loma, vajadzīgā informācija lielākoties atrasta mērķtiecīgu meklējumu, nevis nejaušības rezultātā. Bachelor’s work "The Importance of Serendipity in Information Acquisition" is developed to cast light on the importance of serendipity in acquisition of information among information management students, and what part of acquired and used information is found by chance. The questionnaire surveys and diary methods are used to collect data for investigation, through which ideas about students' habits of information seeking and use, information behavior, and students' thoughts and opinions about accidents are clarified. Data analysis reveals that, although chance plays a significant role in the lives of surveyed students, however, the necessary information mostly is found by precisely targeted search, and not by accident.
