Eiropas Savienības ārpolitika Arktikas reģionā

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā paredzēts noskaidrot, kā attīstījusies ES ārpolitika attiecībā uz Arktikas reģionu, kādi ir ES uzstādītie mērķi un kādas ir ES kopējās intereses šajā reģionā, vai un kā tās ir mainījušās laika gaitā. Darbā tiek izvirzīts šāds izpētes jautājums: Kā ir mainījusies ES ārpolitika attiecībā uz Arktikas reģionu laika posmā no 2008. - 2014.gadam? Darba teorētiskajā daļā tiek skaidroti jēdzieni ārpolitika, ārpolitiku ietekmējošie faktori, ārpolitiku veidojošie aktieri, starptautiskās organizācijas. Darba empīriskajā daļā tiek identificēti ES mērķi un intereses Arktikas reģionā, ES ārpolitikas attīstība.

The intention of this paper is to find out what is European Union policy towards Arctic region, what are the proclaimed aims of EU and what are the common interests of EU in this region, and how did these interests change through time if they changed at all. The research question set in this paper is as follows: How had the EU policy towards Arctic region changed in time scope 2008. - 2014? Theoretical part explains what is foreign policy, who the classic foreign policy makers are and what are the external factors affecting foreign policy. In the analytical part of this paper EU aims and interests in Arctic region are defined, as well as development of EU Arctic policy.
