Saūda Arābijas un Irānas attiecību izvērtējums

Abstract

Maģistra darba nosaukums ir „Saūda Arābijas un Irānas attiecību izvērtējums”. Šī darba mērķis ir analizēt Saūda Arābijas un Irānas attiecības, kuras tiek raksturotas kā konkurējošas. Darba teorētisko ietvaru veido spēku līdzsvara teorija, kā arī valsts līmeņa faktoru analīze. Valsts līmeņa faktori - līdera un režīma tips, valstu savstarpējā uztvere un ideoloģiskās atšķirības - ietekmē Saūda Arābijas un Irānas attiecības. Turklāt Saūda Arābija līdzsvaro Irānu, lai nepieļautu tās varas palielinājumu. Tomēr abu valstu attiecību stabilitātei un sadarbības centieniem ir liela loma Tuvo Austrumu drošības un stabilitātes uzlabošanā. The theme of the master`s paper is „The assessment of the relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran”. The aim of thesis is to analyze the relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran which are considered competitive. The research is based on the balance of power theory and unit-level factors. Unit-level factors such as regime and leadership type, mutual perception and ideological differences prevent the development of relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran. Saudi Arabia balance Iran to prevent its increase of power. However stability and cooperation in the Middle East depends on stability and cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
