MPLS tīklu tehnoloģijas pielietojumi

Abstract

MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) tīklu tehnoloģija ir Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) biedrības standartizēta datu plūsmu pārsūtīšanas tehnoloģija, kas balstīta uz pakešu marķēšanu ar etiķetēm, lai nodrošinātu datu plūsmu maršrutēšanu tīklā. Darbā tiek aplūkota MPLS arhitektūra, tās darbība, kā arī noskaidroti iemesli, kas telekomunikāciju pakalpojumu sniedzējiem un lielajiem uzņēmumiem varētu radīt vēlmi ieviest MPLS tehnoloģiju tīklā. Tādiem visbiežāk lietotajiem MPLS pielietojumiem kā MPLS virtuāli privātie tīkli, virtuāli privāta lokālā tīkla serviss un MPLS datu plūsmu manipulācija darbība tiek aplūkota gan teorētiski, gan konfigurāciju piemēros, izmantojot RouterBOARD maršrutētājus.

MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) networking technology is Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) standardized traffic forwarding technology based on packet marking with labels to ensure routing of network traffic. This paper describes MPLS architecture, operation principle and main reasons why telecommunication service providers and large enterprises should implement MPLS technology in their networks. The operation of most widely used MPLS applications as MPLS virtual private networks, virtual private LAN service and MPLS traffic engineering are considered both theoretically and by configuration examples using RouterBOARD routers.
