Tīmekļa informācijas sistēmu automātiska vizuāla testēšana

Abstract

Šajā darbā ar terminu „vizuālā testēšana‖ saprot informācijas sistēmu prezentācijas līmeņa testēšanu. Vizuālās testēšanas mērķis ir pārbaudīt, vai, veicot izmaiņas sistēmas vizuālā izskata definīcijā, netiek sabojāti jau implementētie saskarnes elementi, pārbaudīt, vai sistēmai nepiemīt kādas nevēlamas vizuālas iezīmes. Autors pētījumus koncentrē uz tīmekļa sistēmu vizuālu testēšanu. Pieaugot tīmekļa bāzētu informācijas sistēmu saskarņu sareţģītībai, pastiprināta vērība ir jāpievērš arī šo risinājumu kvalitātei. Ievērojami laika resursi tiek patērēti ne tikai sistēmu funkcionālajai testēšanai, bet arī tīmekļa risinājumu prezentācijas līmeņa testēšanai jeb vizuālajai testēšanai. Lai arī tīmekļa prezentācijas tehnoloģijas HTML un CSS ir populāras jau daudzus gadus un joprojām turpina attīstīties, nav atrasti šajās tehnoloģijās radīto risinājumu vizuālās testēšanas automatizācijas risinājumi. Darbā tiek apzinātas problēmas, kas traucē uz HTML un CSS bāzētu tīmekļa risinājumu prezentācijas līmeņa testēšanas automatizāciju, atrasti to risinājumi. Autors ir izstrādājis rīku, kas spēj daļēji automatizēt tīmekļa sistēmu prezentācijas līmeņa testēšanu.

With concept ―visual testing‖ this paper denotes testing of presentation layer of information systems. The goal of visual testing is to make sure whether implementation of changes or new features in presentation layer of the system doesn’t break any of already implemented visual features. Also goal is to check whether system doesn’t contain any visual anomalies. Author concentrates research on testing of presentation layer of web based information systems. Increasing complexity of graphical user interfaces of a web based information systems implies that developers should devote more and more attention on quality of these solutions. Great effort is devoted not only for the functional testing of information systems, but for the visual testing too. Although web presentation technologies HTML and CSS are popular for many years and still continue to evolve, there are at least no solutions for automation of visual testing. This paper identifies problems which interfere with visual testing automation of presentation layers which are created in HTML and CSS, seeks solutions for these problems. Author has developed a tool which at least partially automates visual testing of web based information systems.
