Maksājumu karšu tirgus attīstības tendences Latvijā

Abstract

Autore darba tēmu izvēlējās: „Norēķinu karšu tirgus attīstības tendences Latvijā”. Izvēli noteikusi interese par Latvijas norēķinu karšu tirgus pirmsākumiem un attīstību. Tēmas aktualitāti pamato Latvijas norēķinu karšu biznesa īpaši straujā attīstība pēdējo gadu laikā. Darbā autore iepazīstina ar maksājumu karšu būtību, to attīstības un rašanās vēsturi Latvijā un pasaulē. Kā arī izklāsta par norēķinu karšu sistēmas dalībniekiem, karšu galvenām priekšrocībām un trūkumiem. Darbā ir minēta detalizēta norēķinu karšu klasifikācija, kā arī banku, karšu īpašnieku ieguvumi kopumā. Kā darba mērķi, autore izvēlējās aprakstīt maksājumu karšu tirgus tendences Latvijā un izpētīt maksājumu karšu tirgus tendences, pamatojoties uz veikto analīzi starp uzņēmuma SIA "Nelsens" darbiniekiem. Autore veica aptauju starp uzņēmuma SIA “Nelsens” darbiniekiem par maksājuma karšu tirgus attīstību, kā rezultātā tiek veikta anketu apkopošana un datu salīdzināšana. Darba nobeigumā autore veic secinājumus un dod priekšlikumus karšu lietotājiem, bankām un tirgotājiem par nepieciešamajām inovitātēm ērtākai karšu lietošanai. Lai veicnātu maksājumu karšu lietotāju skaitu, autore iesaka bankām paātrināt Latvijā pāreju uz viedkartēm, kas garantē augstāku drošības līmeni pret viltojumiem un krāpniecību nekā magnētiskās joslas maksājumu kartes. Karšu lietotājiem izmantot maksājumu karti norēķinoties par pirkumiem, lai nav jānēsā līdzi skaidra nauda. Un tirgotājiem paātrināt maksājumu karšu apkalpošanu POS terminālos. Darbā ir apkopota un analizēta informācija masu mēdijos un globālajā tīmeklī, kā arī izmantota latviešu autoru publicētā literatūra.

Author for the subject to its scientific research work has chosen: “Development tendencies for the payment cards market in Latvia”. The subject was chosen because of the personal interest of the author in the history and development of the payment cards market in Latvia. The fact that the subject is up to date is supported by the fact that the payment cards market in Latvia has developed rapidly over the past few years. In the scientific research author introduces with the essence of the payment cards, history of its appearance and development in Latvia and worldwide. Also in the work, there is a description of the participants in the system that is behind the payment card, about the advantages and disadvantages of payment cards. In the work there is also mentioned detailed classification of the payment cards, as well as the overall benefits of banks and the payment cardholders. As a goal for the work author has chosen to describe tendencies of the payment cards market in Latvia and to analyse them based on the analysis made among the employees of SIA “Nelsens”. Author has made an inquire among the employees of SIA “Nelsens” about the development of payment cards market, and after that the results of questioner have been gathered and analysed. At the end of the work author withdraws conclusions and makes suggestions to cardholders, banks and merchants about the necessary innovations for more convenient use of payment cards. In order to increase the number of payment cardholders, author suggests to banks to speed up the process of introducing the market with “smart card”, which guarantee higher level of security against forgeries and cheating more than the payment cards with the magnetic strip. For the cardholders to use the card while making a purchase, in order not to carry around cash. And for merchants, to increase the speed of service in POS terminals. In the work there is gathered and analysed information from press and internet, and also published literature in Latvia.
