Lietišķās velosatiksmes attīstības iespējas Valmieras pilsētā

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā tiek pētīti lietišķās velosatiksmes ietekmējošie faktori un attīstības iespējas Valmieras pilsētā. Velosipēds lielākajā daļā pasaules valstu ir nenovērtēts pilsētas transporta līdzeklis, kuram piemīt vairākas pozitīvas konkurences priekšrocības. Lietišķā velosatiksme Valmieras pilsētā nav attīstīta un pilsētas pašvaldība nav izveidojusi velosatiksmes plānošanas documentu. Līdz ar to veloceliņu izvietojums pilsētā ir haotisks. Bakalaura darbā secināts, ka, lai Valmieras pilsētā attīstītu lietišķo velosatiksmi, ir jāievieš velosatiksmes politika, jāizveido strukturēts veloceliņu tīkls un atbilstoša veloinfrastruktūra, kā arī jānodrošina gan velobraucēju, gan velosipēdu drošība. Darbs sastāv no 49 lapaspusēm un 2 pielikumiem, tajā ievietoti 17 attēli un 4 tabulas.

The researches explore factors that affect city cycling and its development possibilities in Valmiera city. Bicycle is undervalued city vehicle in the biggest part of countries. But it has a lot of positive advantages. City cycling is not developed in Valmiera city and the municipality has not created planning document for cycling, wherewith cycle lanes are located chaotically. In reaserch had infered that there is need to establish cycling policy, create structural cycle network and appropriate cycle infrastructure as well as provide safety for cyclists and their bicycles to develop city cycling in Valmiera city. Work consists of 49 pages, 2 attachments, 17 images and 4 tables.
