Bibliotekāro procesu automatizācija pagastu bibliotēkās

Abstract

Automatizācijas procesu veiksmīga attīstība pagastu bibliotēkās ir noteicošais faktors VVBIS realizēšanā. Iekļaujot visas bibliotēkas vienotā bibliotēku informācijas sistēmā, tiks pilnībā realizēts „Gaismas tīkls Latvijā”. Izpētīt līdzšinējo pagastu bibliotēku pieredzi darbā ar BIS ir viens no pētījuma mērķiem. Darbā aplūkoti arī iemesli, kas kavē automatizācijas procesa virzību, kā arī izstrādāti ieteikumi bibliotēkām, kuras plāno iegādāties BIS. Pētījumā secināts, ka automatizācijas attīstība pagastu bibliotēkās ir nevienmērīga. Tikai 2,4 % pagastu bibliotēkās strādā ar BIS, pārējās gatavojas apgūt sistēmas darbību. Galvenie šķēršļi automatizācijas procesa ieviešanai ir dažādi politiski, ekonomiski un psiholoģiski faktori. Sekmīga šo šķēršļu pārvarēšana ir priekšnoteikums sekmīgai pagastu bibliotēku automatizācijai.

Succesful automation processes in rural municipality libraries (RML) is a decisive factor for meeting the goals of the VVBIS Project. Incorporation of RML in the united library information system will accomplish the creation of the Lightnet in Latvia. Study of the experience of RML currently using BIS is one of the aims of the present research. The paper also aims at identifying the problems preventing from further development. In addition, suggestions to libraries preparing to purchase BIS are developed. RML find themselves in different stages of development in terms of automation processes. Only 2.4% of the rural libraries work with BIS, the main obstacles in the implementation of the system being various political, economical and psychological factors. Solving these problems is a precondition to successful automation of RML.
