Nacionālā identitāte un migrācijas procesi: komunikācijas prakses analīze

Abstract

Maģistra darba „Nacionālā identitāte un migrācijas procesi: komunikācijas prakses analīze” mērķis ir (1) noteikt iespējamās sakarības starp ārzemēs dzīvojošo latviešu komunikācijas praksi un Latvijas identitātes un piederības saglabāšanu un (2) gūt priekšstatu par ārpus Latvijas dzīvojošo Latvijas iedzīvotāju nacionālās identitātes uztveri. Darba teorētiskajā daļā aplūkotas sabiedrības izmaiņas modernitātes kontekstā, mediju lietošanas izvēle, identitātes veidošanās un nacionālās identitātes jēdziens. Pētnieciskajā daļā apkopoti pētījumos iegūtie rezultāti par migrācijas procesu ietvaros īstenoto komunikācijas praksi, motīviem saziņas kanālu izvēlē un to, kā ārpus Latvijas dzīvojošie Latvijas iedzīvotāji uztver Latviju un ar to saistītos nacionālos jautājumus.

The aim of the master thesis „National Identity and Migration Processes: the Analysis of Communication Practice” is to (1) define possible coherence between communication practice and maintaining Latvia’s identity and sense of belonging of Latvians living abroad and (2) to get the notion about national identity perception of Latvians living abroad. Theoretical part consists of the following sections – changes in society within the modernity context, media usage choice, identity construction and the notion of national identity. Empirical part consists of the results of researches about communication practice realised within migration processes, about motives in choice of communication channels and research on how Latvians living abroad perceive Latvia and national questions related with it.
