Dzimtes konstruēšana meiteņu žurnālā "Avene"

Abstract

Darba mērķis ir noteikt, kādas pazīmes, īpašības un priekšstatus par dzimti konstruē meiteņu žurnāls „Avene”, kas pēc tam potenciāli var ietekmēt tālāko indivīda attīstību. Teorētiskajā daļā apskatīts sociālās realitātes raksturojums. Noskaidroti dzimtes un dzimuma jēdzieni, jauniešu auditorijas īpatnības un citi aspekti. Pētnieciskajā daļā izmantota žurnāla numuru satura analīze un daļēji sturkturētas intervijas ar pašreizējām un kādreizējām lasītājām. Pētījuma rezultātā noskaidrots, ka dzimtes aspekts žurnālā ir daļēji stereotipizēts - žurnāla publikācijās daudz rakstīts par modi, skaistumkopšanu un tādām tēmām, kas uzskatītas par vairāk meitenēm atbilstošām, vairākos aspektos dzimtes konstruēšana nav pakļauta stereotipiem. The main goal of the thesis is to determine which gender signs, traits and perceptions are constructed in the girls’ magazine „Avene”, which can potentially affect individual development. The theoretical basis of the bachelors thesis consists of a theoretical description of the concept of social reality, differences between sex and gender, gender identity and the peculiarities of youth audiences. The study has found out that gender constructions are partly stereotypical. There are a lot of articles about fashion, beauty and themes that are usually linked with femininity in the magazine but in many aspects the construction of identity is not gender specific.
