Maģistra darba temats ir „Ārvalstu tiešo investīciju mijiedarbība ar iekšējām investīcijām Baltijas valstīs”. Darba autora mērķis ir izpētīt ārvalstu tiešu investīciju ietekmi uz iekšējam investīcijām Baltijas valstīs.
Darbs sastāv no trim nodaļām, ievada, secinājumiem un priekšlikumiem. Pirmajā nodaļā autors izskata investīciju plūsmas ekonomikā. Otra nodaļā autors izvērtē ĀTI lomu pasaulē. Trešā nodaļa galvenais paņēmiens ir ārvalstu tiešu investīciju mijiedarbības ar iekšējam investīcijām novērtējums izmantojot korelācijas un regresijas analīzi.
Ārvalstu tiešu investīciju un iekšēju investīciju pētīšanas procesā tika apkopoti dati par pasaules ĀTI plūsmu attīstību un ĀTI un iekšējam investīcijām Baltijas valstīs. Tika analizēti dati no 1995.g. līdz 2008.g. Pētīšanas procesa tika izstrādāti 13 attēli un 1 tabula. Darba gaitā izmantotas dažādas pētīšanas metodes: salīdzināšanas analīzes metodes, ekonomiskas un statistiskas analīzes metodes, ka arī veikta korelācijas un regresijas analīze.
Pēc Baltijas valstu iestāšanas Eiropas Savienībā ĀTI apjomi strauji pieauga. Vislielākais ārvalstu investīciju pieaugums novērots Igaunija. Pēc 2007.g. krīzes sākuma pasaules ĀTI plūsmu pieauguma tempi samazinājās.
Ārvalstu tiešu investīciju mijiedarbības ar iekšējam investīcijām Baltijas valstīs analīze parādīja, ka visas trīs valstis pieaugot ĀTI arī tiek novērota pozitīva tendence attiecība pret iekšējam investīcijām.

The theme of master’s paper is „Foreign direct investment and domestic investment interaction in Baltic states”. The objective of work is to research foreign direct investment and domestic investment interaction in Baltic states.
The work consists of three chapters, introduction conclusions and proposals. In the first chapter author researches investment flows in economics. In the second chapter author estimates FDI role in the world. In the third chapter the main used method is FDI and domestic investment interactions using correlation and regression analysis.
In the research of FDI and domestic investment were summarized dates about word FDI flows development and FDI and domestic investment in Baltic states. The data analysis is based on the period of 1995 to 2008 year. During research process author worked out 13 images and 1 table. During working process were used different research methods like statistical, econometrical analysis, correlation and regression analysis.
After Baltic states entered European Union FDI flows increased. The biggest foreign investment inflow was to Estonia. In 2007 year crisis began, and word FDI inflow amounts decreased.
The analysis of FDI and domestic investment in Baltic states shows, that in all three countries interaction between FDI and direct investment is direct. If FDI increase, than domestic investment increase, too.
