Parki un to funkcijas Rīgas pilsētā: Esplanādes, Grīziņkalna un Uzvaras parka piemēri

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā „Parki un to funkcijas pilsētā: Rīgas parku Esplanādes, Uzvaras parka un Grīziņkalna piemēri” pētītas Rīgas parku vēsturiskās un mūsdienu funkcijas. Darbu veido piecas nodaļas. Pirmajā nodaļā apskatīta vispārīgā parku rašanās vēsture un attīstība, vēsturiskā funkciju maiņa un parka formālās funkcijas. Otrā nodaļā apskatīti darbā izmantotie materiāli un metodes. Trešā nodaļa sniedz pārskatu par Rīgas zaļo zonu un pētāmo parku izveidi, vēsturisko attīstību un funkcijām. Ceturtā nodaļa ir rezultātu apkopojums, kurā apskatīta formālo funkciju realizācija pētītajos parkos un pierādīta neformālo funkciju esamība. Piektajā nodaļā veikta pētījuma salīdzinošā analīze ar Groningenas parkiem Nīderlandē. Bakalaura darba rezultāti parāda pilsētas parka funkcijas vēsturiskā, mūsdienu izmantošanas un sociālo procesu kontekstā.

The present Bachelor Paper „Parks and their Functions in the City: Case Studies of Esplanade, Grizinkalns and Uzvaras Park in Riga” investigates the historical and contemporary functions of the parks of Riga. The Paper consists of five chapters. In the first chapter the general history of the origin and the development of the parks, the historical change of the functions and the formal functions of the parks are examined. The second presents the materials and methods used in the Bachelor Paper. The third surveys the formation of the green areas of Riga and the parks under investigation, the historical development and the functions. The fourth chapter is the summary of the results which present the realization of the formal functions in the studied parks and prove the existence of the informal functions. In the fifth chapter a comparative analysis of the research with the parks of Groningen in the Netherlands is carried out. The results of the research show the functions of the park in the city in a historical context as well as the context of contemporary utilization and social processes.
