Akustiskā un vizuālā informācija sinhronajā tulkošanā ar tekstu: praktisks pētījums

Abstract

Maģistra darbs ar nosaukumu „Akustiskā un vizuālā informācija sinhronajā tulkošanā ar tekstu: praktisks pētījums” veltīts mūsdienās plaši izplātītam un izmantotam mutvārdu tulkošanas veidam – sinhronajai tulkošanai ar tekstu. Maģistra darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, vai vizuālā informācija papildus akustiskajai informācijai, ļauj uzlabot sinhronā tulkojuma kvalitāti. Darba teorētiskajā daļā apkopota informācija par attiecīgo mutvārdu tulkošanas veidu, kā arī aprakstīti izaicinājumi, ko tas rada tulkam. Praktiskajā daļā izmantotās metodes ir mērķauditorijas anketēšana, runu ierakstīšana, transkribēšana, datu analīze un apkopošana. Praktiskā pētījuma rezultātā apkopotie dati liecina, ka vizuālās informācijas izmantošana ievērojami uzlabo tulkojuma kvalitāti.

The master thesis titled “Dual Input Factor in Simultaneous Interpreting with Text: a Case Study” addresses a contemporary and widely applied mode of interpreting – SI with text. The purpose of the study is to find out whether presence of the written input in addition to aural input tends to improve the performance quality. In the theoretical part the author has compiled information about theoretical background of the subject and challenges the respective mode of interpreting poses to interpreter. The methods used in practical part include survey of the target group, recording speeches, transcribing, data analysis and quantifying. The results of the case study prove that written input contribute to significantly better rendition in SI with text.
