Jauniešu politiskā interese un līdzdalība politikā

Abstract

Šī darba mērķis ir noskaidrot jauniešu (vecumā no 18-25) motivāciju interesēties par politiku un iesaistīties tajā, vai tieši pretēji - atsvešināties un neiesaistīties, kā arī noskaidrot, kas ir tas, kas ietekmē šo jauniešu politisko nostāju. Pētījumā izmantotas 3 kvalitatīvās pētniecības metodes - daļēji strukturētās padziļinātās intervijas, ekspertintervijas un fokusgrupas intervija "Skype" vidē. Iegūtie rezultāti liecina par to, ka sociālie tīkli jauniešu izvēli nosaka tikai daļēji. Iemesls, kādēļ jaunieši neiesaistās politiskajos procesos, ir neticība, ka spēs ko ietekmēt, un nespēja redzēt sevi kā sabiedrības daļu. Turpretī aktīvie jaunieši interesējas un piedalās, jo uzskata to par savu pilsoņa pienākumu un kā savu aicinājumu.

The purpose of the thesis is to study the motivation of youth (aged 18-25) regarding their interest or lack of interest in politics, and to explore the basis of their political opinion. This research applies theories on social networking, political culture, political forms of participation etc. The study is based on 3 qualitative researching methods - partially structured in-depth interviews, interviews of experts, and a focus group discussion using "Skype". Obtained results demonstrate that the choice for the youth is only partially determined by social networking. The reason why youth are not engaged in political processes is rooted in belief of not being able to influence and not seeing themselves as a part of society. Active youth in turn are interested and take part in political development because they consider it to be their citizen's duty and their calling.
