The aim is both: to test the hypothesis – in magazine “Santa” in year 2010 woman’s image in advertising is closer to reality, not designed as simulacra; and to find answers on the issue of this research – what elements affect compliance between reality and woman’s image in advertising in the interpretation of interviewed respondents and what images of women in advertising – more realistic or closer to the simulacra pay more attention and enhances trust in advertising communication?
Theoretical background consists of simulacra theory and its four image phases developed by Jean Baudrillard. With theories by R.Batra, D.Myers and D.A.Aaker in this bachelor work are explained effective advertising methods and theory by G.J.Tellis – determination of barriers of advertising effectiveness.
