Abstract

Romi ir tepat starp mums, bet tai pievērsta tik maza uzmanība. Pētījumi par romiem, to kultūru Latvijā tikpat kā nav. Sabiedrības aptaujas liecina, ka sabiedrībā valda pārsvarā uz negatīviem stereotipiem un aizspriedumiem balstīta attieksme. Medijos bieži vien par romiem sastopama negatīva un nievākoša informācija. Taču romiem un tās kultūrai ir arī daudz kas pozitīvs un skaists. Šajā darbā tiks noskaidrots vai ir un kāda loma dziesmu un deju performance identitātes konstruēšanā. Pētījumā izvirzītā hipotēze: izmantojot dziesmu un deju performances romi konstruē savu etnisko identitāti, un vienlaikus veicina pozitīvu attieksmi sabiedrībā ar savu kopienu. Pētījuma mērķi: •noskaidrot, vai ir un kāda loma ir dziesmai un dejai romu identitātes konstruēšanā; •noskaidrot, kā ar mūzikas un dejas performanci tiek veidota pozitīva saskarsme, mijiedarbība sabiedrībā.

Rezultātā noskaidrojās, ka romi veido savu identitāti ar dziesmām un dejām. Šo perfomanču loma ir neatņemama romu kultūras sastāvdaļa. Viņi dzied un dejo jau no mazotnes, dziesmas un dejas aizgūstot no paaudzes paaudzē. Viens no nozīmīgiem apsektiem ir tieši pozitīvās identitātes veidošana sabiedrībā. Romi ar dziesmām un dejām cenšas panākt draudzīgas attiecības arī ar citu tautību pārstāvjiem. Petījuma rezultāti apliecināja, ka autora izvirzītā hipotēze ir apstiprinājusies.
