Reģionālo un vietējo televīziju niša nacionālā mediju vidē: Latvijas situācijas analīze

Abstract

Bakalaura darba „Reģionālo un vietējo televīziju niša nacionālā mediju vidē: Latvijas situācijas analīze” mērķis ir izpētīt Latvijas vietējo un reģionālo televīziju nozari un identificēt nozarē pastāvošās tendences un problēmjautājumus. Darbā izvirzītā hipotēze: Latvijas reģionālo un vietējo televīziju niša ir aprdaudēta. Bakalaura darba struktūru veido teorētiskā daļa, metodoloģija, empīriskā daļa un rezultātu apraksts. Pētījums veikts, izmantojot daļēji strukturētās intervijas, dokumentu analīzes un anketēšanas metodes, tajā piedalās esošie NEPLP locekļi un iepriekšējās padomes vadītājs, Reģionālo TV asociācijas vadītājs, vietējo un reģionālo TV pārstāvji. Pētījumā analizēti arī nozari reglamentējošie dokumenti – likumi un attīstības stratēģijas. Darba rezultāts sniedz daudzpusīgu ieskatu Latvijas reģionālo un vietējo TV nozarē.

The objective of the thesis „The niche of regional and local television stations in the national media environment: Latvian situation analysis” is to examine local and regional television sector in Latvia and to identify the existing tendencies and problem-areas. The proposed hypothesis of thesis: The Latvian regional and local television sector is endangered. The structure of this thesis is comprised of a methodological part, empirical research and the description of the research results. The research has been conducted via partially structured interviews, document analysis and question surveys, in which the members of the National Electronic Mass Media Council as well as the former head of the board, the head of the Regional TV association and representatives of local and regional TV sector participated. Furthermore, this thesis assesses the policy, legal and developmental documents associated with the sector. Results of the research provides an insightful in-depth analysis of the Latvian regional and local television sector.
