Pētījuma tēma ir seksa pakalpojumi tūrisma industrijā un to ietekme uz Latvijas tēlu ārzemēs, konkrētāk, Eiropas angliski runājošajā daļā.
Pētījuma problēma ir prostitūcija Latvijā un tās atstātās sekas uz Latvijas tēlu ārzemēs. Kā darba hipotēzes tiek izvirzīti apgalvojumi, ka Rīgas tēls ārzemēs saistās ar viegli pieejamiem seksa pakalpojumiem un motivācija iesaistīties seksa pakalpojumu apmaiņā ir racionāla un radusies sociālās mācīšanas rezultātā.
Pētījuma teorētiskais pamatojums tiek balstīts uz divām teorijām – racionālās izvēles un sociālās mācīšanas teorijām.
Pētījuma empīriskais pamats ir kvalitatīvas padziļinātas intervijas ar ekspertiem, tūristiem un meitenēm, kas piedāvā šāda veida pakalpojumus.
Pētījuma hipotēzes pētījuma gaitā tiek pierādītas. The theme of this bachelor work is sexual services in the tourism industry and its influence on the image of Latvia abroad, specifically the English speaking part of Europe.
The problem of the research is prostitution in Latvia and the consequences of the image of Latvia abroad. The hypothesis of the paper is the statement that Riga’s image abroad associates with easily available sexual services and the motivation to participate in this exchange of sexual services is rational and based on social learning.
The theoretical base of the paper is two theories – rational choice and social learning.
The empirical investigation is qualitative depth interviews with experts, tourists and girls who offer sexual services.
During the research the hypothesis of the work has been approved.
