Programmatūras defektu analīze uzņēmumā

Abstract

Programmatūras izstrādes procesā neapšaubāmi rodas defekti un bieži vien ar programmatūras funkcionalitātes paplašināšanu defektu skaits arī palielinās. Defektu pieaugums savukārt samazina programmatūras kvalitāti, stabilitāti un uzturēšanu. Viens no risinājumiem, kā kontrolēt defektu rašanās progresivitāti ir analizēt defektus, saprast, kāpēc šie defekti rodas, kas ir īstie defektu rašanās cēloņi un mēģināt šos cēloņus novērst. Šajā darbā ir apskatīts programmatūras defektu analīzes un novēršanas process, kā metode programmatūras kvalitātes uzlabošanai, it īpaši defektu rašanās varbūtības samazināšanai. Šī procesa galvenie mērķi ir iteratīvi izstrādes laikā analizēt defektus, sameklēt un novērst to rašanās cēloņus. Darba ietvaros ir apskatīti defektu analīzes un novēršanas procesi, kurus piedāvā tādas kompānijas kā IBM un Motorolla Communications. Ir apskatīta defektu analīzes un novēršanas procesa ieviešana projektā „X” uzņēmumā „Y”.

Defects definetely occur in the process of software development and the number of defects usually grows when extending the functionality of the software. Increase of defects decreases quality of the software, its stable operation and maintenance. One of the solutions how to control the growth of defects is the analysis of defects, understanding the reasons why such defects appear and making efforts to prevent them. In this paper the analysis of software defects and the procedure of elimination thereof are described as well as a method of quality improvement, in particular, the decrease of the probability for defects to arise. The main objectives of the process are iterative analysis during the development period, search for reasons and eliminaiton thereof. The defect analysis and elimination processes studied in the paper are offered by such companies as IBM, Motorolla Communications. The paper includes introduction of a defect analysis and elimination process in the project X of a company Y.
