Sociālās zinātnes studējošo skaita prognozēšana Latvijas augstskolās

Abstract

Maģistra darba mērķis ir uz Latvijas augstākās izglītības sistēmas analīzes un izstrādāto sociālās zinātnes studējošo skaita prognožu pamata izdarīt secinājumus par Latvijas augstākās izglītības sistēmas nākotnes problēmām un sniegt priekšlikumus to risināšanai. Jau tuvākajos gados sociālajās zinātnēs, kā arī visā augstākās izglītības sistēmā kopumā, ir sagaidāms straujš studentu skaita kritums. To, pirmkārt, noteiks demogrāfiskie apstākļi – 90-tajos gados, salīdzinot ar 80-tajiem, dzimstība Latvijā ļoti strauji samazinājās. Otrkārt, studentu skaitu ietekmēs Latvijas iedzīvotāju maksātspējas samazināšanās. Prognozēšanas gaitā iegūtie rezultāti parāda, ka sociālajās zinātnēs uzņemto studentu skaits tuvāko piecu gadu laikā samazināsies uz pusi. Prognozēšanā tika izmantotas statistiskās prognozēšanas metodes un ekspertu novērtējumi.

The aim of this master’s work is to draw conclusions about Latvian higher educational system’s future problems and offer solutions based on Latvian higher educational system’s analysis and forecast of the number of students in social sciences. Sharp decline of the number of students is expected in social sciences as well as in all higher educational system in the near future. Firstly, it is determined by demographic circumstances – sharp decrease in the birthrate in the nineties in Latvia. Secondly, the number of students will be influenced by lower purchasing power of the inhabitants of Latvia. The results achieved in the course of forecasting show that the number of students in social sciences is going to decline by half in five years time. Statistical forecasting methods and experts’ assessment were used in the course of forecasting.
