| dc.description.abstract | Investīcijām ir liela loma ne tikai stabilas ekonomiskās izaugsmes sekmēšanai valstī, bet arī uzņēmējdarbības attīstībai.
Darba autore veica pētījumu par investīciju vidi Latvijā, lai noskaidrotu tās trūkumus un ar kādiem šķēršļiem ārvalstu investoriem jāsaskaras.
Kā darba mērķis tika izvirzīts - identificēt nozīmīgākās investīciju vides problēmas, kas ietekmē investoru izvēli neveikt investīcijas Latvijā. Mērķa sasniegšanai izvirzīti šādi uzdevumi: uz teorētisko zināšanu pamata, veikt pētījumu par investīciju vidi Latvijā, veikt ekspertu un uzņēmumu aptauju.
Darba gaitā identificēti galvenie Latvijas investīciju vides trūkumi – tiesu sistēmas nepilnības, birokrātisko procedūru nesakārtotība, ēnu ekonomika, tirgus lieluma apmērs un augsta līmeņa speciālistu trūkums ražošanas nozarē.

| dc.description.abstract | Investment plays a major role for economic growth in the country, and also for business development.
The author conducted a study on the investment climate in Latvia to find out its weaknesses and the obstacles faced by foreign investors .
The aim of the work is - to identify the most significant investment climate issues affecting investors' choice not to invest in Latvia. To achieve this the author set a task: on the theoretical basis conduct a study on the investment climate in Latvia, conduct an expert and business survey.
During the research the key weaknesses in the investment climate in Latvia were identified - the shortcomings of the judicial system, dissaray in bureaucratic procedures, informal economy, market size and the lack of a high-level experts in manufacturing industry.
