Diplomdarba mērķis ir izstrādāt priekšlikumus Latvijas eksporta atbalsta pilnveidošanai eksporta preču konkurētspējas uzlabošanas, kā arī potenciālo mērķa tirgu un nozaru izvēles griezumā.
Pirmajā nodaļā apskatīti eksportēšanas un valsts eksporta atbalsta teorētiskie aspekti. Otrā nodaļa veltīta Latvijas eksporta radītāju un Latvijas eksporta atbalsta analīzei. Trešajā nodaļā veikti aprēķini par Latvijas eksporta preču vērtībām ES, NVS, BRICS, pārējo valstu un preču sadaļu griezumā, kā arī veikta desmit ekspertu interviju analīze.
Tika izstrādāti priekšlikumi Latvijas eksporta atbalsta sistēmas uzlabošanai, eksporta konkurētspējas paaugstināšanai, kā arī tika noteikti potenciālie Latvijas eksporta mērķa tirgi un potenciālās eksporta preču sadaļas.

The purpose of the diploma thesis is to develop reccomendations to improve Latvian export promotion system in the context of export competitiveness enhancement as well as in the potential target market and sector selection perspective. In the first chapter the theoretical aspects of the exporting and the export promotion are examined. The second chapter is devoted to the analysis of the Latvia's export performance and Latvian export promotion system. In the third chapter the calculations of Latvian export values in the context of EU, CIS, BRICS, other countries and product groups are made, as well as the analysis of ten expert interviews is conducted. The proposals to impove Latvian export promotion system and export competitiveness are made, as well as the potential Latvian export target markets and potential export groups are identified.
