Medicīnisko atkritumu apsaimniekošana Rīgas pilsētā

Abstract

Maģistra darba „Medicīnisko atkritumu apsaimniekošana Rīgas pilsētā” mērķis ir novērtēt medicīnisko atkritumu apsaimniekošanas kvalitāti Rīgas pilsētā. Pašreizējā atkritumu apsaimniekošanas prakse vēl joprojām pieļauj medicīnisko atkritumu nekontrolētu nokļūšanu pilsētas sadzīves atkritumu plūsmā, radot nopietnus draudus (inficēšanās risks) sabiedrības, vides un cilvēka veselībai. Pašreiz medicīnisko atkritumu apjomam Rīgā ir tendence palielināties, ko ietekmē vienreizlietojamo materiālu un preču intensīvāka izmantošana veselības aprūpē. Uzņēmējsabiedrībām (SIA „Lautus”, A/S BAO), kas pierādījuši sava darba kvalitāti medicīnisko atkritumu apsaimniekošanā valstī, nepieciešamas valsts un pašvaldību atbalsts. Maģistra darbā ir analizēta likumdošana, normatīvie akti, dažādi apsaimniekošanas plāni. Autors ir veicis SVID analīzi galvenajām medicīnisko atkritumu pārstrādes metodēm. Darbs sastāv no 8 nodaļām, 6 tabulām, 24 attēliem un pielikuma, darba apjoms ir 66 lpp. Atslēgas vārdi: MA, atkritumu apsaimniekošana, pārstrādes metodes.

The aim of the Master’s Paper “Management of Medical Waste in Riga City” is to assess the quality of the medical waste management in Riga City. The current waste management practice still allows uncontrolled presence of the medical waste in the household waste of the city thus causing considerable danger (infection risk) to the health of the society, the environment and an individual. Today there is the tendency observed that the volume of waste in Riga increases, which is related to the more intense use of the disposable materials and goods in the healthcare sphere. The enterprises (“Lautus” LTD, BAO JSC), which have proved their quality of work in the medical waste management in the country need the support from the part of the state and the municipalities. The Master’s Paper analyzes the legislation, the laws and regulations, and a various management plans. The author has performed the SWOT analysis of the main medical waste processing methods. The Paper consists of 8 chapters, 6 tables, 24 pictures, and annex; the volume of the Paper is 66 pages. The key words: medical waste, waste management, processing methods.
