Diplomdarba tēmas nosaukums ir „Sociālā darbinieka loma klientu motivēšanā sociālo problēmu risināšanas procesā”. Sociālā darbinieka profesionālās darbības saturs klientu motivēšanā ir sociālā darba zinātnei un praksei nozīmīga tēma, kuras izpēte būtiski attīsta izpratni par sociālā darbinieka lomu motivējot klientus viņu sociālās problēmas risināšanā.
Darba mērķis ir analizēt sociālā darbinieka lomu klientu motivēšanā sociālo problēmu risināšanas procesā.
Lai sasniegtu darbā izvirzīto mērķi, autore ir analizējusi zinātnisko literatūru par sociālo problēmu risināšanas procesa būtību, motivēšanas nozīmi klientu darbības veicināšanā sociālo problēmu risināšanas procesā un sociālā darbinieka lomu klientu motivēšanā.
Empīriskajā pētījuma daļā pētīti sociālo darbinieku un sociālā dienesta klientu viedokļi par sociālā darbinieka lomu klientu motivēšanā, organizējot fokusgrupas diskusiju un padziļinātās intervijas.
Pamatojoties uz darbā veikto literatūras analīzi un empīrisko pētījumu rezultātiem, darbs noslēdzas ar praktiskiem ieteikumiem sociālā darba speciālistiem klientu motivēšanas veicināšanai un secinājumiem.
Diplomdarbs ir izstrādāts uz 61 lapām, sastāv no 5 nodaļām un 7 pielikumiem.

The title of the diploma paper is „ The role of the social worker in motivating clients in a process of solving the social problems”. The substance of professional work of social workers in clients’ motivation is an important topic for the science and practice of social work and its research substantially develops the understanding about the role of social worker in motivation of the clients in solving their social problems.
The aim of work is to analyze the role of a social worker in motivation their clients in the process of solving their social problems.
To reach the aim of the paper the author has analyzed the literature about the core of solving social problems, the significance of motivation in promoting clients’ performance in the process of solving their social problems, as well as the role of a social worker in motivating their clients.
In the empiric part the author has researched the standpoint of social workers and clients of social services on the role of social workers in motivation of clients, while organizing a discussion of focus group and more profound interviews.
Based on the analyses of literature and results of empiric research the work ends with practical recommendations for specialists in social work for promoting clients’ motivation and conclusions.
The diploma paper contains 61 pages, consists of 5 chapters and 7 supplements.
