Sociālā darba pieejas darbā ar veciem cilvēkiem

Abstract

Diplomdarba temats ir „Sociālā darba pieejas darbā ar veciem cilvēkiem”. Darba mērķis ir pētīt sociālā darba pieejas sociālajā darbā ar veciem cilvēkiem. Lai sasniegtu mērķi, tika izvirzīti uzdevumi, kuros tika analizēts gerontoloģijas jēdziens un gerontoloģijas vēsturiskā attīstība, raksturots vecais cilvēks kā sociālā darba klients, analizētās novecošanas socioloģiskās teorijas, teorētiskā literatūra par sociālā darba pieeju izmantošanu sociālā darba praksē ar veciem cilvēkiem, kā arī veikts empīrisks pētījums ar mērķi apzināt sociālā darba pieeju izmantošanu Latvijas sociālo darbinieku praksē ar veciem cilvēkiem. Darbs sastāv no sešām savstarpēji saistītām daļām. Pētījuma sākumā autores pēta gerontoloģiskā sociālā darba jēdzienu un gerontoloģijas vēsturisko attīstību, kā arī raksturo veco cilvēku kā sociālā darba klientu un apskata novecošanas socioloģiskās teorijas. Darba turpinājumā tiek raksturotas sociālā darba pieejas darbā ar veciem cilvēkiem, tādas kā spēcināšanas pieeja, uz mērķi centrētā pieeja, kognitīvi biheviorālā pieeja, kā arī ticamības pieeja, reminescense un dzīves pārskats. Pētījuma priekšmeta izpēte turpinās empīriskajā pētījumā, veicot daļēji strukturētas kvalitatīvi pētnieciskās intervijas ar sociālā darba speciālistiem, kuri ikdienā strādā ar veciem cilvēkiem. Darba nobeigumā, balstoties uz teorētisko un empīrisko pētījumu, tika izvirzīti secinājumi, sniedzot apkopojošo ieskatu un izprātni par sociālā darba pieeju izmantošanu darbā ar veciem cilvēkiem. The theme of diploma thesis is „Approaches to social work with the elderly”.The aim of diploma is to study social work approaches to social work with the elderly. To achieve the aim of the diploma, there were set tasks in which were analyzed the concept of gerontological social work and its historical development, described the the elderly as a social work client, analyzed the sociological theories of aging, explored the theoretical literature of social work approaches used in social work practice with older people and conducted an empirical study to identify the social work approaches used of social work practice with older people in Latvia. Diploma consists of six interrelated parts. At the beginning of the study the author explores gerontological concepts of social work and its historical development, describes the old people as a client of social worker and explores sociological theories of aging. In diploma described approaches in social work with the elderly, such as task centered approach, biheivioral approach, validation approach reminescence and life review. Study the subject further empirical research study through semi-structured qualitative research interviews with social work professionals who daily are working with the elderly. In conclusion of diploma, will be put to the findings, based on the theoretical and empirical research, to provide insight into the compiling and understanding of social work approaches in social work with older people.
