| dc.description.abstract | Bakalaura darbā autors ar tematiskās kontentanalīzes pieeju pēta, sešu jauno atlētu izvēli, apvienot sportošanu pus profesionālā vai jauniešu līmenī ar studijām augstskolā. Lai to izpētītu, autors pieņem, ka izvēle tiek balstīta uz iepriekš iekrātu pieredzi, ko autors analizē ar dzīves gājuma teorijas pieeju un resursiem, kas izvēles brīdi ir pieejami. Resursi bakalaura darbā tiek iedalīti sociālajā, ekonomiskajā un kultūras kapitālā. Bakalaura darbā autors noskaidro, ka izvēli ietekmē visi resursa veidi, kā arī nozīmīgi dzīves notikumi, kas atgadījušies pirms izvēles izdarīšanas, taču arī konkrēta sporta veida specifika un katra atlēta individuāla motivācija, ietekmē jaunā atlēta pieņemtos lēmumus.

| dc.description.abstract | In this paper, author uses thematic content analysis approach to analyze why six young athletes chooses to combine training and participating in semi – professional or youth level sport while studying at university. Author assumes that choice is based on life experience and different types of resources. Author uses life course perspective to analyze individuals experience and social, economic and culture capital form to group resources. Author finds out that all of the resources and different type of life events, which are based on experience, affects athlete’s choices. Author, also discovers that self-motivation and the specific type of sport also affects athletes choice.
