Abstract

Šobrīd pasaulē arvien populārākas kļūst dažādas video datņu datubāzes. Bakalaura darba „Video datņu indeksēšana” mērķis ir izpētīt video datņu indeksēšanas procesu un mūsdienu iespējas. Darbā ir pētītas video datņu indeksēšanas problēmas un tiek raksturota video datņu intelektuālā un automātiskās indeksēšana, identificējot abu indeksēšanas veidu priekšrocības un trūkumus. Pētījuma gaitā tika analizētas video datņu datubāzes un tajās pievienotie atslēgvārdi, secinot, ka viena cilvēka pievienotie atslēgvārdi ir subjektīvi. Analizējot Informācijas un bibliotēku studiju nodaļas studentu piešķirtos atslēgvārdus, ir secināts, ka izveidojot dialoga tipa indeksēšanas sistēmas var iegūt labus un atbilstošus atslēgvārdus.

Nowadays various video databases become more and more popular. The aim of the Bachelor Paper „The indexing of video files” was to explore the process of the indexing of video files and today’s potentialities. In the Paper the problems of the indexing of video files are examined and manual and automatic indexing is described by analysing the advantages and disadvantages of both types of indexing. During the research databases of video files and their keywords were analysed concluding that the keywords added by one person are subjective. By analysing the keywords that are added by students of Department of Information and Library Studies it is concluded that one can get good and consistent keywords by creating interactive indexing systems.
